Big Bend Hearing Loss Association Chapter (BBHLA) is in Tallahassee known for its seven famous canopy roads. This college
and state government city is a half hour drive from Georgia and 2 hours from Alabama. BBHLA is open to anyone who has an interest
in hearing loss issues.
In addition to serving as a support group BBHLA has participated in National Day of Hearing
Screening, collaborated with local audiologists in educational presentations, promoted the use of open captioned theatre films
and performed outreach efforts in the area of hearing assistive technology. To achieve our goals it is essential that we generate
interest among our peers in our community whether they have full hearing or not.
